Flashback Old Time Radio Friday – Sherlock Holmes

Now most everyone knows that the famed Arthur Conan Doyle detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his faithful companion Dr. Watson were portrayed in many a great black and white Hollywood movie by Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce.

What you may not know, and it’s the reason you come here week after week — to find these things out — is that Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce portrayed that famous duo on the radio. “The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” ran from 1939 to 1947 and the film stars produced some 220 episodes together.

So without further ado:
