Flashback OTR Friday – The Man Called ‘X’

(I apologize for getting this to you so late, I was having trouble uploading the show.)

From 1944 until 1952, Herbert Marshall starred as agent Ken Thurston, in this espionage radio drama. The foreign locales and intrigue made it stand out from the typical detective fare. And Marshall is suave and sophisticated and unmistakably British.

The show started as a 1944 summer replacement for Lux Radio Theater on CBS. When it returned in September, it was on NBC Blue Network.

Tonight’s episode is called “The Laughing Lady,” and Thurston travels to Cicily to take on the Mafia.

Tonight’s episode is:
“The Laughing Lady”
