OTR Flashback Friday — Jack Benny

Who hasn’t heard of Jack Benny? Maybe some of you. As a refresher let me tell you that at one time Jack Benny was THE Entertainer in Hollywood. Regarded by many as a comic genius, he had impeccable timing and could get laughs with a pause, a look, and a simple, “Well.”

Perpetually 39 years old, he was known as a penny-pincher and a poor violinist (although he was very accomplished at it).

He was extremely popular on radio and came to national prominence with his weekly NBC show, “The Jack Benny Show.” LAter he had equal success when he moved to television.

Here, in honor of April Fool’s Day is a Jack Benny April Fool’s Day episode.

Hope you enjoy it.
